We are still surrounded by tragedy, much more than in 2000, when we started our work on the Project I have an Other-ache, a trilogy about love sacrifice. We are now starting our work on the third movement of the trilogy that, like the previous parts, will be inspired by myth and sacrifice. In Alcesti we decided to focus on one victim, while in the second part – Medea – the victims become two. The final movement, then, will represent the most extreme and absurd form of sacrifice: war, where the crowd offers itself in the name of a principle. One, two, everyone: from the sacrifice of the bride on her wedding day, to the murder of both children committed by their own mother, till the sacrifice of an entire nation in the name of an ideal. As in the other two parts of the trilogy, even in the third movement the tragic content is meant to outline tragic forms without any explanatory purpose.
