Ryuichi Sakamoto is one of the undisputed stars of contemporary music. An untiring genius, he has contributed to the development of composition in our age.
With Alva Noto (Carsten Nicolai), he shares a penchant for minimalist forms of expression. The two have now created an experimental project that is opening new frontiers of sound.
After vrioon (a CD recorded for Raster Noton overflowing with straightforward wonder, which was an extraordinary worldwide success), Alva Noto and Sakamoto have again joined forces to create a new synergy between electronic music and acoustic piano.
In the live concert, insen, Nicolai's subtle digital creations and video installations are regulated and tempered by Sakamoto's elegant piano phrasing, creating dialogues between melody, rhythm and texture. insen reveals a discreet and unforgettable musical beauty that enthrals for its sheer purity.
