Pippo Delbono returns to VIE to give a special night to the audience.
In the unusual role of creator of a musical event rather than of a play, he will be on the stage with the Tuscan band “Les Anarchistes” and Francesco Agnello, collaborator of Ariane Mnouchkine and Peter Brook. Delbono has been working for some time on music experimentations together with some Italian and international musicians.

“I have always liked to conceive theatre as a concert in which no dramaturgy, no characters, no texts exist. I like the particular relationship between music and theatre which is far from the idea of a performance theatre addressing only an elite of theatre lovers. I do like thinking of theatre as a communication rite where sounds, words and movements lead the audience to a journey made of flesh, heart and music.
This concert is the first stage of a journey which will continue with a cinema project in Brazil involving many musicians in December and will finish with the début of a new creation in collaboration with the ensemble of Teatro Bellini of Catania” in March. Pippo Delbono
