Here we are again, as every year, ready to travel roads old and new. We shall find ourselves once more in places that are familiar to us, but we shall also have the good fortune to discover and visit new ones. Yet again our aim is to lead you down wide and accommodating motorways so together we may undertake difficult and maybe even dangerous journeys and travel roads that take us from our everyday realities to remote places, thanks to the efforts of scores of artists, who with us, have contributed to the drafting of this tour programme. This time round the astronaut accompanying us on our mission this year is using every possible means of transportation to reach desired destinations and we hope to be able to inspire you to do the same.
On this journey you will encounter master veterans, either reliving their work or discovering it for the first time and experiencing theatre as they see it. And together you will have the chance to get to know the new maestros of contemporary theatre, as well as young artists who are just starting out.
Magnificent sets, short performances, exhibitions and discussions held in five different cities at 18 venues form the legs that VIE invites you to attend over nine days.
