NATIONAL PREMIERE
In 1998 Thierry Salmon, a belgian actor, director and theatre man, died in a road accident at only 41 years old. Ten years later, on the last june, his family, his collaborators and friends fixed a meeting at Les Halles de Schaerbeek in Bruxelles with the aim to share their memories and collect Thierry’s projects materials with the purpose to see each other again in Italy on october during VIE Scena Contemporanea Festival.
VIE will house TRACES , a wide exhibition-installation divided in about fifthteen rooms with scene objects, pictures and scenography scraps, enriched by archives material, videos and testimonies too that enable us to know an artistic journey that has bound Salmon to Italy, in particular to Centro per la Ricerca Teatrale di Pontedera and to Centro Teatrale di San Geminiano in Modena.
The programme will also include the presentation of a Renata Molinari book dedicated to the belgian director, published by Ubulibri; a special tribute to Luc D’Haenens, sound director for Salmon’s works; and other appointments.
Several artists who worked with Salmon will be present during the festival with their own works. They are Enrico Bagnoli, Carmen Blanco Principal, Luisa Pasello and many more.
