ABSOLUTE PREMIERE

length 1h 30'

Teatrino Giullare was founded in 1995 by Giulia Dall'Ongaro and Enrico Deotti. It develops its theatrical research on the idea of artificial actor and of expressiveness exploration through the physical limit. The company, since 2005, is committed in the sperimental project Beckett> Bernard> Koltes e l’artificio in scena. The project is confronted with some great classics of the XX century, assuming a new vision (of them), that explores the use of artifices and filters to enhance the more inner nature of the texts.
Among the awards received, there are the UBU 2006 Special Award: for the depth of interpretation of contemporary classics; Award for Best Actress at the World Art Festival Prague (2003); the Special Jury Prize Award and the Brave New World for direction at 47° International MESS Theatre Festival (Sarajevo, 2007).

Black Battles with Dogs
Original title: Combat de nègre et de chiens (1979)
Black Africa. A French construction company is building a huge public work, that won’t be terminated.
Situations of violence and falsehood against black workers reign in the yard, in which, among other things, a man died and his body was thrown into sewers.
The foreman Horn, the engineer Cal, who hates the blacks and loves only his bastard dog, the black Alboury that, as a revenger presence, requires body of the brother, an European woman, Leone, which will meet Alboury, are the characters of this text written in 1979 by Bernard Marie Koltes, and still very actual.
In the disarmed field, between obvious signs of a near abandonment, mysterious music and alarming sounds, and, beyond the barbed wire that surrounds the field, there is a forest, that is the Africa’s spirit, with its voices, mystery, suffering.
