The attention that the festival reserves to the South American theatre, to its vitality that finds in the variety of landscape, cultures and traditions its figures, goes on. The Festival hosts three South American companies: the young Timbre 4 (Buenos Aires), the Chilean director Manuela Infante and the indipendent Chilean company Teatro en el Blanco.
La Omision de la Familia Coleman deals with a family living on the limit of an evident but secret dissolution. They are packed in a house that contains and imprisons them. Looking for personal spaces within shared places, more and more difficult to conciliate. An impossible coexistence lived in the absurd of the everyday life, where violence is a common thing and every member of the family ignores the emotions.
The audience will enter the room crossing the scenery of the family, creating the sensation to be inside the house, within that world. The space is realistic, full of objects of different styles and details that talk about the characteristics of this family.
The interpretation can be analysed in the natural, although absurd, routine of characters who live together at few centimetres from the audience.
The working process that led to the final draft of this text has been developed gradually, through improvisations and characters composition exercises according to a “moving writing”.
