MACCHINA PER IL TEATRO INCOSCIENTE
Six years ago, Paola Serafini and Luì Angelini (Compagnia La Voce delle cose) invented Macchine per il teatro incosciente. Involving only one spectator in a 2-5 minutes performance, it transforms their theatre into a game, a form of entertainment, a way of reflection upon dramaturgy. Their theatre, made up of common objects, mixes puppets with every-day tools, creating in the audience a sensation of strangeness and familiarity. The rules of the game are to wear headphones and listen to the CD. The puppeteer follows the instructions recorded on the CD without knowing what its actions mean to the audience; in the meanwhile, the spectator enjoys the show he has chosen. Only a suitcase is needed to create this performance: La Voce delle Cose has also developed a bricolage version to be put together and used at home. Instructions on the site: www.lavocedellecose.it.
