Internationally renowned choreographer, new director of the Venice Biennale of Dance and one of the most beloved artist by the audiences of VIE, Virgilio Sieni puts on stage at Stazione autocorriere, via Peruzzi in Carpi a new creation designed specifically for VIE HOME_quattro case. The project involves some of the inhabitants of the places in Emilia hit by the earthquake in 2012, and is divided into four stages, each of which has a ceremony designed through a constellation of gestures, of contact and tactility. They are actions that in their evolution in different long shots develop the idea of rebuilding a house. The performers, a group of children, a quintet of singers, a couple formed by husband and wife, a quartet of young people, all weave a small, or large, archipelago of looks and dances. All edify, with simple materials that are residues and ruins of that earthquake, lopsided, symbolic and precious shelters.

Virgilio Sieni / Accademia sull'Arte del Gesto
The Accademia sull'Arte del Gesto Academy of the art of the gesture is a Virgilio Sieni project that springs from the choreographer’s CANGO Cantieri Goldonetta experience and has developed through a series of artistic processes of studio work and teaching of movement, in a continuous experimentation with languages. Children, senior citizens, dancers and artists participate in projects in which training, creation and vision interweave in an organic approach to the body and to art. A continuum of experiences laid out in a geography of cities and territories, forming a network of places dedicated to artistic experimentation and practice.
