Last edition of VIE Festival suffered for an interruption and for the cancellation of some show owing to the earthquake in our Region. This is the reason why, this year VIE comes back and it opens itself to those areas and it goes away in the places that, up till now, are grappling with that event.
From last summer Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione, with the collaboration of Emilia-Romagna Region and many artists, organized and cared some events in order to offer a contribution for the recovery of the communities damaged by the quake.
Probably resistance is the word that guides and draws the ninth edition of VIE Festival.
Not only the resistance and the contrast to the natural event and to its effects, but also resistance and effort to set ourselves against a critical condition of culture in our Country that this year, once more, decreed cuts by Government and local Boards.
Resistance to an habit of this State that in the last 20-30 years, and increasingly strong in recent times, relegates culture, art and beauty in an inefficient and bewilderment condition. For these reasons too, in spite of big difficulties, VIE Festival comes back and draws in a way geographically more widespread, that runs from Casalecchio di Reno to Rubiera, pass through Vignola, Castelfranco Emilia, Modena, Soliera, S. Felice sul Panaro, Mirandola, Novi di Modena, Carpi, Finale Emilia.
